Our client is a Polish company specializing in sales, services and rental of machines and equipment produced by global leaders in hydraulic cylinders, jacks, pumps, heavy lifting technology etc. for many heavy industry sectors such as shipbuilding, oil &gas, mining, metallurgy to mention a few.
Due to continued market growth we are now looking for a professional for the new role of:
Sales Engineer/Technical Sales Representative
Place of work: Home-Office
Area of Responsibility: Czechia
The key function is to find and develop new customers in the designated region, to ensure that the sales entity meets its growth targets through excellent communication and sales skills.
Responsibilities:
* As key contact you initiate, develop and build professional relationships and new sales opportunities in the area of responsibility
* Prospect for potential new clients and turn this into profitable incremental turnover
* Close cooperation with new and existing clients in the following industries:Power Generation (Coal, Nuclear and Hydro), Chemical and Petrochemical, Heavy machinery and mining industries
* Prepare and manage professional quotations, active follow-up and successful conversion into orders
* Cooperate well with all local and regional colleagues to develop and implement global,regional and local strategies within the region that will result in exceeding the annual financial targets
* Able to conduct product presentations and demonstrations
* Present prepared orders to customer service for processing
* Promote all products, services and systems by organizing and executing customer activities, such as presentations, seminars and training sessions
* Report to the Polish General Manager on all commercial activities within the territory, complaints, trends, competitive actions and any recommendations to improve sales results and productivity
* Ensure all HSEQ rules and regulations are communicated and enforced throughout the organization. Proactively participate to safety awareness and improvement.
* Represent the company in a professional manner at all times, both internally and externally
* Follow the published processes and comply with all company policies and procedures
Requirements:
* Relevant Technical Degree (BSc) or Commercial Degree
* Minimum 5 years’ technical/industrial products sales experience (hydraulic cylinders, bolting tools, machine tools) and well developed presentation and commercialnegotiation skills are a must
* Technical acumen and understanding of industrial markets and products are required
* Native Czech and very good English is essential, both oral & written, other languages are a benefit
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Ability to work to deadlines; excellent organizational skills
* Works well with minimal supervision; self-discipline and motivation, independent player
* Good working knowledge of MS Office(Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.); knowledge of a CRM package is beneficial
* Open to travel at least 60-80% within the allocated region is required
* “Hands on” approach that can quickly develop constructive and positive working relations with peers, customers and subordinates
