Managing Director/Site Manager

Main role
Manage the production facility daily operations/processes and continuously lead and develop the unit with assigned resources to ensure that manufacturing processes run reliably and efficiently
Responsibilities:
- Overall management of daily operations of the facility, P&L responsibility, budget planning and execution
- Ensure compliance to all budgets and manage communication for management and supervise overall performance of local team (up to 200 employees)
- Improve and optimize manufacturing processes and to staff the different functions with adequate personnel
- Ensure that quality standards and all relevant rules and regulations are defined, monitored and corrective measures and systems are implemented
- Leading the supply unit activities in such way that internal and external customer satisfaction is achieved and that the unit stakeholder’s requirements are met
- Manage the operations in accordance with to the laws and regulations in relation to the relevant authorities
- Implement efficient manufacturing principles; develop, improve and assure that agreed targets are met
- Ensure that the production is effective in terms of resources and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results
- Ensure that the factory goals are defined and regularly monitored and that corrective measures are implemented
- Ensure required development and training of staff for future qualification needs
- Ensuring all H&S standards are adhered to: quality, environment and safety, including supervision of safe operations of the facility, compliance with health and safety rules and quality requirements
- Contribute operations information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; prepare and complete action plans; implement productivity, quality and customer-service standards; resolve problems, complete audits, identify market trends
- Implement change and/or develop new processes as required by the business
- Report to and support the mother company, main stakeholders at European HQ
Requirements:
- University degree in Engineering or other equivalent subjects
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar position within multinational environment with responsibility for efficient manufacturing processes, purchasing, quality and logistics
- Experience in managing and developing mature internal processes for metal as well as assembly of finished products
- Knowledge of budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources
- Strong leadership and communication skills with capability to lead and coordinate a manufacturing organization cooperating closely with operations and sales in other countries within the Group
- Driven and result-oriented personality with pro-active ownership of the operations and strong cooperation and communication skills
- Ability to build a strong and empowered local management team
- Ensure full visibility and transparency of the local operations
- Working knowledge of ERP systems
- Entrepreneurial spirit and readiness to deliver on all parameters – also where it requires own hands on and/or project management
- Fluency in English
- Openness to travel
