Our Client is a global leader in the furniture production industry, owner of a world-wide brand. Due to continued growth of a modern HDF board production facility in Podlasie (Poland), we are looking for a professional to take on the challenging role of:
Plant Manager / Unit Manager
Place of work: podlaskie
Responsibilities:
- full responsibility for all activities in the plant operating 365 days of the year, 200 + headcount
- managing areas: safety, sales, supply chain, production, maintenance, engineering, finance, quality, environment, health and people
- managing the managerial team, strategy development, strategy execution, servicing customers, improving processes and securing product delivery in the right time and quality to strengthen the business franchise and maintain optimal asset utilization
- speeding up continuous improvements by standardizing the ways of working by ensuring that the mindset and principles of lean manufacturing is implemented
- strengthening the value based leadership, developing new competences, creating an innovation culture to develop the workplace
- performance optimizing, improving commercial side of the operation, improving utilization
- ensuring a safe workplace for all employees with quality standards
Requirements:
- at least 10 years of experience from general management in an international and business environment
- technical education, preferably combination of technical and business (MBA)
- mature production/operations/plant manager executive in high performance, lean environment
- good understanding of manufacturing and preferably previous experience from wood, panel and/or process industry business as an advantage
- demonstrating leadership capabilities, building trust and partnerships for common business direction
- communicating in a clear and comprehensive way in Polish and English language
- good financial and business acumen
- international experience and knowledge of international (western) business culture
- passion for lean management,
- leadership and good influencing skills
- openness and flexibility, high energy
- commercial acumen
