Our client is a global leader in development of natural food/beverages ingredients for global brands. Due to continued development on the Poland market we are now looking for an experienced professional to take on the role of:
Warehouse & Distribution Manager
Place of work: North of Warsaw
The main task: being responsible for the overall warehouse and distribution with managing staff and inventory. Additionally overall responsible for the transports ( import & export ) and warehouse & office surrounding.
Responsibilities:
* Warehouse goals implementation & maintenance
* Supervising, effective management and evaluation of subordinates (6 people; hiring and training)
* Responsible for administration and reporting wage related items
* Electronic processing/approval of invoices and business trips (xFlow and TEM)
* Warehouse and outdoor maintenance (ensure tidiness in the warehouse and outdoors, creating and optimizing warehouse standards)
* Warehouse trolleys & cooling systems administration with responsibility for timely services and checks
* Responsible for processes efficiency increasing
* Planning/establishing packaging materials flow and other items used in the warehouse
* HACCP documentation implementation & ensuring continuous work in accordance to the standard
* Health and safety standards implementation & ensuring continuous work in accordance to the standards (fire protection standards/equipment, implementing global and local EHS programs)
* Research, verification and implementation of new processes
* Introduction/setting document outputs from SAP - warehouse/shipment
* Administration of disinfection, disinsectization and deratization documentation
* Collaboration during external and internal audits
* Responsible for inventory transactions (receipt, block, scrap, release, samples)
* Ensure safety stock and slow movers management
* Claims solving when warehouse related
* Ensuring ADR is available across the company
* Responsible for document management and archiving
* Transport / Distribution
* Ensure domestic and international transport best solution
* Transport prices and efficiency monitoring and reporting
* Close cooperation with freight forwarders (negotiations, ordering, daily information about volume, problem solving)
Requirements:
* Higher level education in related discipline such as logistics/transport/production
* 3-5 years practical experience in logistics and warehouse supervision, preferably within an international organization
* Experience in managing a team
* Wide knowledge of logistics management and processes
* Experience in working on SAP in production or logistics environment, or similar ERP system
* Very good English is a must
* Open, communicative with strong leadership skills
* Decision making and negotiation skills
