Software Architect - Telecom

Warsaw

Responsibilities:

• Develop the overall solution architecture and design in conjunction with other architects, partners and systems integrators
• Develop and refine estimates to define the time, cost and quality constraints of the project and then guide the development team to ensure the technical integrity of the solution within these constraints
• Accountable for coherency and delivery of entire solution and product line
• Lead multiple solutions across the business
• Key influence on senior and executive leadership concerning product delivery and product strategy
• Consult with internal and external clients
• Ensuring that the software delivered complies with the PS quality assurance (QA) processes
• Liaising with PS implementation teams to implement performance enhancements and provide feedback/input on how to avoid issues on configuration as well as estimation for or requirements for testing activities
• Providing support to customers and benchmark solutions
• Provide technical input/feedback to R&D on product direction
• Provide technical leadership and act as a mentor to develop internal Singl.eView technical resources
• Ensure that end to end functionality of the software developed is within the scope of the business needs
• Identify and assess problems and develop workable solutions
• Assess long term technical and organizational risk and future implications

Requirements:

• Higher Education in Information Technology/Telecommunications
• Min 10 years experience in a telecom environment with Singl.eView  technology or similar experience with a comparable Tier 1 level Billing System
• Min 8 years senior software development/architect experience in a consulting environment
• Telecommunications industry experience required with in depth experience in telecom OSS/BSS architecture
• Minimum 5 years experience in UNIX, development language/scripting programming. (Perl in particular)
• Development and systems administration experience with Sun, IBM and HP-UX platforms
• Minimum 5 years experience with Oracle performance and tuning and as well as SQL
• Multi-tiered, relational database architectures with UNIX, Oracle and Windows
• Built previous solutions in customer management and billing for the telecommunication industry
• Telecommunications industry knowledge is essential
• Experience in an international work environment
• Fluent English, spoken and written is required
• Ability and willingness to travel is a must
