They supply to well-known, international customers on the global market. Due to continued growth, we are now looking for a highly experienced, business professional for the challenging role of:
Finance Director (Manufacturing)
Warsaw
As Finance Director you will be responsible for supporting the production unit with focus on executing key priorities to improve business targets. You will oversee all financial, accounting and controlling issues, leading a local team of dedicated professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Overall management of the budget, audit, taxation and accounting within the local organization
- Support and guide general Accounting (like Audit, Tax, Treasury) with the local Chief Accountant
- Supervise the controlling team by providing and directing procedures and systems necessary to improve current controlling system and maintain proper records
- Budgeting and monthly reporting with a particular focus on variance analysis vs prior month, vs prior year, vs budget
- Assess current performance and plan, implement and manage operational (financial, risk, regulatory compliance) efficiencies across all departments
- Set up performance benchmarks for the company and certify accuracy of financial statements
- Develop and maintain internal controls and financial accounting systems for internal and external reporting and analysis
- Provide financial leadership in terms of cost reduction and revenue optimization
- Follow economic developments affecting corporate financing and risk management tools
- Lead the cooperation with internal and external auditors and manage the completion the company’s financial audits
- Manage financing, banking and partner vendor relationships
- Organize, structure and manage the local finance team, sharing and implementing best practice in all divisions and ensuring alignment at all times to the group’s interests.
- Managing local team of 12 employees
- Close cooperation with the local management teams
- Reporting to Poland Managing Director and to regional Group CFO
Requirements:
- Higher Education in a Finance/Accounting discipline or related area
- Min. 10 years’ experience in a senior finance and accounting role, with at least 5 years’ experience in team management and finance director role.
- Experience in a production/manufacturing environment is a must, within a medium sized international company
- Excellent business acumen with good experience in business improvement/cost reduction processes
- Proven capabilities in controlling for industrial companies
- Strong team management skills
- Used to working under deadlines and reporting requirements
- Good knowledge of ERP systems, SAP would be preferred
- Hardworking with leadership acumen
- Excellent communication skills and executive approach
- Fluent English is required
