With a strong global presence and excellent market growth our client is now looking for an ambitious and well qualified finance expert to support the local management team and be an active member of the international finance team.
Chief Accountant
Warsaw
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all operations of the Finance, Accounting and Controlling functions
- Daily management of all financial and tax matters in Poland
- Preparation of monthly accounts, balance sheet , cash flow forecasts and tax declarations.
- Preparation of statutory accounts and financial statements according to Polish GAAP and financial statements according to IFRS
- Ensure timely preparation of all required financial reports locally and for the group
- Responsible for regular accounting processing as well as controlling tasks such as budgeting & forecasting, profit analysis and predictions
- Preparation of consolidated financial statements on a quarterly basis according to Group accounting practices
Requirements:
- Higher Education in Finance & Accounting/Economics
- Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role in an international environment, preferably in the construction or engineering services industry
- Experience in international accounting and reporting standards
- Chartered accountant qualification or relevant Ministry of Finance Certification
- Excellent communication and organization skills
- Strong team player and business focussed attitude
- Excellent problem solving abilities
- Practical knowledge of SAP system would be a distinct advantage
- Fluent English is a must
