Our client is part of a global leader in the development and production of natural colours for the food and beverages industry worldwide. With over 100 years history and regulatory expertise and know-how, they have the widest natural product portfolio in the world.
Due to continued development and growth plans, we are now looking for someone who will lead its' new Shared Services Center in Warsaw, also managing the financial aspects of the local Poland organization.
You will be very much involved in building the local structure, defining new processes, implementation of all standards and procedures, having a lot of influence on planning the growth of the SSC


Finance Manager (Head of Shared Service Center)
Place of work: Warsaw area


Responsibilities:

* Build and lead the global Shared Service Center (initially estimated 12 FTEs with further growth expected from M&A activity)
* Oversee and manage all operations of the Finance, Accounting and Controlling functions
* Daily management of all financial and tax issues in Poland (CIT, PIT, VAT etc.)
* Responsible for budgeting & forecasting, profit analysis and predictions for the Polish entity
* Preparation and audit of Statutory Accounts to the Polish authorities
* Reporting to Head of Group Accounting & Reporting at European HQ


Shared Service Center responsibilities:

* Account Payables, Travel expenses, Payments, Account Receivables and G/L Accounting (fixed assets, leasing under IFRS 16, accruals, dividends etc.) for all Companies in the Group (approx. +15 entities in various global locations)
* Monthly closing activities including Balance Sheet reconciliations
* Preparation and audit of Statutory Accounts in selected countries with assistance from local advisors
* Preparation and filing of VAT in selected countries with assistance from the Group Tax manager and local advisors


Requirements:

* Higher Education in Finance & Accounting/Economics or similar
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role, in an international environment
* Experience in international accounting and reporting standards
* Experience in Shared Services environment, supporting various international companies
* Chartered accountant qualification or relevant Ministry of Finance Certification
* Team management skills, strong business acumen
* Ability to develop and realize challenging plans and targets
* Excellent communication and organization skills
* Strong team player and business focussed attitude
* Excellent problem-solving abilities
* Practical knowledge of SAP system would be a distinct advantage
* Practical knowledge of implementing a new ERP system is an advantage e.g. SAP
* Fluent English is a must
