Due to continued development on the local market, we are now looking for a professional for the role of:
Chief Accountant
Place of work: North Warsaw
The core of the role:
focus on management of accounting operations, controlling, budgets and forecasts.
Candidate Profile:
- Reporting to the Finance Manager based in The Headquarters
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Strong ability to report and present the financial activities of local company to HQ in Denmark
- Confident to represent the company locally in front of government authorities such as tax office, social welfare office, statistics office, etc.
- Confident to cooperation with local institutions such as banks, vendors, property management companies, customers, external payroll company, legal companies, auditors, etc.
- Business oriented
- Strong controlling skills
Role & Responsibilities:
- Overall responsibility for the smooth running of the finance department in Poland
- Daily management of all financial, VAT and tax matters in Poland
- Financial and Production Controlling function
- Prepare budget and financial forecasts
- Preparation of monthly accounts, balance sheet, cash flow forecasts and tax declarations
- Responsible for regular accounting processing as well as cooperation with external legal and audit partners, preparing necessary documentation and reports
- Posting monthly cost allocations according to budget requirements
- Declaration of property
- Entering all financial, administration data, reports and documents into SAP system
- Leading of a part time assistant
Requirements:
- Higher Education in Finance/Accounting
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience in an independent accounting role within an international environment
- Good practical knowledge of SAP system (preference)
- Fluent English is required
- Openness to travel from time to time to HQ (1 time per year)
- Very strong with Excel
- Excellent communication skills - internally as well as externally
- Strong interpersonal and intercultural skills
- Able to work independently and within a small team
- Orientation to detail
- Skilled in working with production controlling
