Our client is a global market leader in bioscience and natural ingredients. The local business unit is responsible for sales of food ingredients, such as food cultures and enzymes and natural colors. The Branch Manager will have an instrumental role in making the office and operations work smoothly.
Branch Manager/Finance and Administration Manager
Ukraine, Kiev
Responsibilities:
* Lead and develop the local finance, logistics, customer service and administration teams.
* Supervise regular financial reports - P&L, balance sheet, cash flow etc.- according to the Group requirements and the local regulations.
* Supervise processes of accounting, financial budgeting and forecasting.
* Setting of financial management & financial controlling procedure with continuous improvement of operations process.
* Ensure proper and sufficient coverage of internal audit in the company.
* Actively advise the management team on the financial implications of business decisions.
* Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting both for statutory and consolidation purposes in compliance with local regulations and the Group accounting rules.
* Provide financial forecasting, budgets, performance analysis, investments monitoring and cash optimization.
* Ensure tax, legal matters and financial compliance, coordinating the interaction with external partners (legal and tax advisors, auditors, banks etc.)
* Responsibility for company compliance with all local legislation incl. corporate law, labor law, financial law, tax law, environmental law.
* Cash management. Ensure all statutory payments are made on time.
* Oversee all HR activities, recruitment, personnel administration, payroll, employee training and development. Following the Group HR guidelines.
* Co-ordination of PDIs, employees’ surveys, action plans.
* Managing administration area, local purchasing and office expenses management for the local entity.
* Reporting to the Area Country Manager with close cooperation with the EMEA Finance Director and Group Legal Department.
Requirements:
* Higher education in finance/accounting or related discipline
* Minimum 8-10 years’ experience in a similar role in an international environment, with at least 3 years with a team management responsibility
* Excellent knowledge of finance, accounting and controlling standards
* Strong knowledge of local Employment Law
* Good understanding of HR processes and HR best practices
* Excellent spoken and written English is a must
* Strong leadership skills
* Proven experience driving business performance
* Ability to anticipate accounting, financial reporting, forecasting, and operational issues
* Strong working knowledge of financial systems, statements and performance monitoring
* Ability to initiate and promote change
* Very good communication skills with all organizational levels
