Foundry Technical Leader
Denmark
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the technical activities in the foundry and melting lines to ensure on-time delivery, maximizing cycles of learning, quality and safety of production processes
- Responsible for implementation of new products and technology
- Optimization of production costs
- Responsible for overseeing the technical issues for melting lines and foundry technology to maximize productivity and minimize cycle time
- Be involved in new investment projects, equipment purchases, maintenance support
- Provide direction and support for work shifts, establish work schedules and assignments as necessary
- Drive cost initiatives, efficiency gains, process improvements, proper labor utilization and improvements in yield and reliability
- Be the owner of material cost (direct and in-direct) for process flow
- Keep min-max inventory of all direct/indirect materials to ensure minimum inventory levels while ensuring no interruptions in production activities
- Reporting to the local Foundry Manager in Denmark
Requirements:
- Higher Engineering Degree – foundry engineering/production/mechanical/manufacturing engineering discipline
- Minimum 3- 5 years in a similar role in an iron foundry environment is a must
- Excellent knowledge of foundry technology environment
- Very good English spoken and written is required, knowledge of Danish would be a distinct advantage
- Excellent leadership and decision making attributes
- Strong communication and organization skills are required
- Experience in working in a SAP system environment is desired
- Open to relocate permanently to Denmark
