With over 75 years market experience, they have become one of the most recognized players on the global fastening market. Due to continued development plans, we are now looking for a professional to take on the new challenging role of:
Technical Sales Engineer – Fastening Solutions (Automotive) - Germany
Place of work: home office, south of Germany, preferably Stuttgart or Monachium area
Responsibilities:
* New independent sales role in the assigned territory (southern part of Germany, eastern or western)
* Selling high quality fastening solutions (fasteners) to industrial clients from the automotive sector
* Working actively in the field, visiting clients plants
* Emphasis on developing new business, acquiring new clients and supporting existing customers in Germany from the automotive business
* Ensuring that the growth of sales meets and exceeds agreed target related performance requirements
* Develop long term relationships with Key OEM's, Tier 1,2 suppliers and their supply chain as necessary through managing and interpreting their requirements (automotive sector)
* Assist and provide customers with solutions on fastener component selection through advice, arranging sample installations and providing test report data compiled by the Applications Engineering Department,
* Maintaining and developing cooperation with regional distribution partners
* Generating and presenting technical presentations to demonstrate that products and services meet the customers’ needs
* Gathering data from distributors and customers in a standard format (forecasts, sales & stock reports, price monitoring, etc.)
* Supporting marketing activities by attending trade shows, conferences and other marketing events.
* The promotion of insertion machines to support the sale of Brand fasteners
* Prepare monthly territory reports specifically updating progress on key projects and targets
* Maintain and update customer information and activity on the CRM system (salesforce.com) and follow up pipeline progression
* Report to CEE Sales Manager
Requirements:
* Higher level education, preferably in Mechanical Engineering or similar
* Minimum 2 years’ experience in technical sales in the automotive sector
* Experience of selling product and process technical value
* We are also open for candidates from technical departments, R&D, production, interested in developing in sales
* Good English is a must (training, technical documentation, reporting) + native German language
* Ready to travel in the assigned territory, active sales activities, client visits in the field
* Strong business acumen, client focussed and results driven
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills
* Ability to work independently, well organized
* Good practical knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Excel to include presentation skills
* Availability to travel extensively within the territory
