For our Client, international transport company, part of a leading global logistics Group we are looking for a competent candidate for the position of:
General Manager Poland
Location: Śląskie
Responsibilities:
- responsibility for the operational, financial and legal affairs of the company in Poland
- management of national and international transportation
- providing the Group with the most competitive fleet in terms of production costs and quality
- management of the truck fleet: planning, implementing, controlling, optimizing
- finding the best suppliers for truck maintenance, fuel supply, fleet renewal (including used trucks) in cooperation with the Fleet Technical Manager
- ensuring the best optimized trucks, trailers and drivers organization
- ensuring the best economical and technical vehicle distribution in collaboration with the other involved areas
- consolidating and improving the company’s market position and guaranteeing its continuity
- management of the companies’ employees
- profit and loss responsibility
- ensuring permanent control and optimization of all costs and quality
- organizing recruitment, training and management of drivers
- responsible for all legal HR items: contracts, regulations, procedures, policies
Requirements:
- economical or logistics university degree
- professional experience in a comparable responsibility
- thorough practical experience in management of a company’s’ own truck fleet and drivers
- good knowledge in business economics and international transport logistics
- professional experience in an international company would be an asset
- people management skills
- fluent in English language; knowledge of German and/or French would be an asset
- licence of transport desirable
- proficient in the use of MS office application
