Our client is an international leader in development, production and sales of top quality wood coatings/varnishes. Due to continued development we are now looking for an experienced professional to take on the new role of:

 

Business Development Manager – Slovak Republic

Home Office

 

Responsibilities:

* Evaluation and analysis of the current market for Company’s products in Slovak Republic (competitors, market segmentation, customers, technologies etc.)
* Evaluation and analysis of the potential development products on the local market
* Evaluation and identification of distribution/sales channels for the purposes of marketing the products therein
* Analysis of governmental/local requirements, permits, authorization processes that are necessary to trade the products in the market
* Develop sales in distribution channel
* Anaysis of industrial segment (wood producers, furniture makers etc.) – large client segment
* Realize and implement projects in commercial area, on request and in agreement with management
* Identifying most suitable products for individual commercial segments; defining commercial conditions for products; choosing commercial description of products, also for labelling purposes
* Evaluate and suggest: advertisements and communication ventures, sponsorships; participation in events and fairs, technical commercial material to be made  
* Defining communication activities and technical-commercial materials needed for the Slovak market
* Participation in specific workshops, exhibitions
* Keep in touch with direct customers  and potential  dealers:  visit them to directly confirm their requirements, to present products that could satisfy their needs, participate in technical tests and perform contact activities.
* Defining research topics for Coatings and  Polymers R&D for new products development
* Following R&D projects progress
* Evaluating commercial results of products created by R&D projects
* Close cooperation with the Management in managing complaints from Clients, Dealers, by providing fast intervention, in order to minimize negative effects and by giving all necessary technical information, coordinating and supporting with legal issues
* Visits to suppliers of systems, machines and accessories for wood industry

 

Requirements:

* Higher education: Business/Economics/Chemical Engineering or related discipline
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in a sales/business development role within the Wood Coatings/ Wood Protection/related industry is a must
* Knowledge of Slovak customer market, product knowledge, experience in B2B (industrial segment) and distribution channel sales.
* Experience  in working within the industrial segment (sales to wood producers/furniture, flooring etc.)
* Reporting to the GM – based in Poland
* “Home office” working environment
* Very good spoken and written English is a must
* Strong communication and organization skills as well as ability to work independently
* Fully available to travel within Slovak Republic
