Area Sales Manager – Poland & EE

Main Purpose of role:
As a member of the European Sales team reporting to the Commercial Manager Continental Europe, the Area Sales Manager is responsible for maximising sales and achieving profitability in the designated territory, in line with the regional strategic plan.
Responsibilities:
Sales and Profit development:
* Responsible for sales and business performance in designated territory
* Increase the specification through architects and end users in designated territory.
* Development of distribution infrastructure in the region.
* Develop and implement business plans in designated markets, through effective key account management.
* Key account support – provide strategic, commercial and technical advice to distributors in order to assist them in achieving theirs and the companies objectives.
* Optimise sales levels of indirect projects (specified within territory and installed outside of territory) through liaison with European sales team.
Profit and loss management:
* Responsible for preparing sales and cost budgets and monitoring the profit and loss of the area.
Market development:
* Contribute to regional and company strategic plan in conjunction with the marketing function by identifying and exploiting key opportunities for profitable sales growth in the territory.
* Facilitate the brand visibility within the designated territory.
* Implementing best practice for products (floors and walls) development in line with the European strategic plan.
* Gather and proactively feed back competitor intelligence to the marketing department.
* Assist the transport sales team by providing support in designated territories as and when required and by giving the appropriate information to enable the sales plans to be developed.
* In conjunction with the marketing department, manage the marketing plan and budget in designated territory.
Requirements:
* Higher education in business, economics or related discipline
* A proven track record in delivering revenue and profit targets in international markets.
* Experience in the Construction Industry and specification process, dealing with Architects.
* Sales management experience.
* Strong customer focus with excellent communication, negotiating and influencing skills at all levels.
* Experience in effective distributor/key account management.
* Excellent business and commercial skills with a proven track record to contribute to regional/company strategy.
* Fluency in English & Polish. Other Eastern European languages are appreciated.
* Team player – at departmental and company level.
* Interpersonal skills –ability to build relationships and partnerships.
* Demonstrate flexibility, open communication, respect for others, continuous. improvement and excellent customer service.
