Our client is an international leader in the production industry, providing high quality packaging materials and products to industry customers. Due to continued development on the Poland market we are now looking for an experienced professional to take on the role of Production Manager. The main task is to guarantee the efficient management of the production processes in the assigned Business Unit. You will set and implement defined conditions and plans through managing processes and assigned teams.
Production Manager – Packaging
Mazovia region – 30 km from Warsaw
Responsibilities:
- Working within the local management team and cooperating closely with the management board
- Taking part in strategic operational meetings and decisions, planning and forecasting
- Preparing and setting production budget plans for the assigned Business Unit
- Close cooperation with local purchasing, planning, quality and logistics teams
- Take overall responsibility for optimization of the production process, technology and personnel
- Management of local team of up to 100 people with responsibility for: recruitment, coaching, motivation and development in relation to production and internal information flow
- Determine plans and targets for team achievement
- Continuous improvement and optimization of internal processes
- Management of SAP process related to production activities
- Responsible for ensuring proper health and safety standards at work place
- Taking part in local and international trade fairs and conferences
- Reporting to local General Manager Poland and European HQ
Requirements:
- Higher level education in Engineering discipline, preferably Chemical Engineering
- Minimum 5 -8 years professional experience in a similar role in the chemicals, plastics, oil, packaging processing industries
- At least 2-3 years proven team management experience
- Experience and hands-on practical experience in production process management
- Strategic approach with wide knowledge of production process, raw materials, quality control and new investments.
- Experience in working on internal ERP system such as SAP
- Very good English is a must
- Open, communicative with strong leadership skills
- Strong decision making and negotiation skills
- Business focused with experience in an international environment
