Listed on the NASDAQ, it is one of the leading players on the global market in the non-banking, financial retail services sector. Due to continued growth we are now looking for an experienced professional to join the International Audit team, who will work with all departments, operating units and management within the regional business units.
Internal Auditor
Gdańsk
Responsibilities:
- Audit planning and risk assessment in all regional business units within the Group (Poland and mainland Europe)
- Identify financial assertions, control objectives and risks including risks of inappropriate accounting and financial reporting fraud
- Identify operational control objectives & risks
- Document and evaluate operational/accounting flows including the role of IT applications
- Evaluate appropriateness of accounting procedures and practices
- Evaluate effectiveness of IT application controls in enforcing proper standards
- Identify transaction level IT application controls
- Prepare clear and well organized plans
- Develop and write audit recommendations and reports and effectively communicate to management
- Ensure that the corporate audit change management process is adopted
Requirements:
- Higher degree in Accounting/Finance
- Qualified ACCA/CIMA/CIA
- Experience in working with Sarbanes Oxley standards is desired
- 3 years experience in operational and financial auditing role
- Min 1 year experience in financial audit and project management experience
- Experience in applying professional auditing principles and practices
- Financial accounting and reporting concepts, accounting department operations, account reconciliations and general ledger systems
- Familiarity with US GAAP and considerable knowledge of local GAAP
- Strong planning and project management skills
- Familiar with IT General Control concepts
- Experience in collecting and analyzing complex data and evaluating information and systems
- Experience in working with ACL would be advantageous
- Very good English is required
- Ability to work in an independent role within a matrix structure
- Open to frequent international travel
- Report to the local Senior Internal Auditor
