Business Manager Poland – Transport Flooring

Main Purpose of the Role:

As a key member of the Global Transport team reporting to the CEEM Transport Business Manager, you will be responsible for the profitability of the key accounts business in Poland and any other European markets as required. You will also be responsible for:

* Developing and implementing a strategic focus and brief to develop all Transport commercial opportunities in Poland, OEMs - including bus, coaches, commuter rail & metro sectors, as well as well as Operators and subcontractors (maintenance, refurbishment)
* Integrating and working with other regional Transport Managers to deliver and provide focus and strategic input to the Global Transport business as a whole. This would include supporting the growth of our specification business via our existing resources and also involvement in new product development (NPD)
* In addition to customer interface, this role will be accountable for the net profitability of the identified strategic accounts and therefore responsible for the commercial and project co-ordination between production, technical, logistics and the Transport CCC
* Management of key OEM and Operator relationships for sales and profit development
* Responsible for the net profitability and the management of the identified key accounts through the effective set up and co-ordination of the liaison process with distributor partners, CCC, production and logistics in order to provide accurate forecasting information to facilitate service offer to key OEMs.
* Work with the CEEM Transport Business Manager to develop and implement the short term, medium term and long term Transport commercial strategy
* Responsible for maintaining up-to-date key account plans for the identified accounts including 5-year plan
* Report net profitability of identified Transport Key Accounts in line with the commercial reporting requirements
* Develop a growing and sustainable project pipeline
* Develop and maintain the CRM system relevant to the Poland Transport market and customer project management
* Co-ordinate with the wider global transport regional teams on global projects or key accounts
* Manage the product offer to the designated accounts working closely with manufacturing, inventory control, external sales and the Transport CCC to ensure that bespoke manufacturing is commercially viable
* Support product launches as per the regional product strategy
* Guide and support the Technical R&D team on product certification and compliance requirements within the Poland region
* Work in partnership with the Marketing team to ensure that the marketing campaign and communications output is aligned with the commercial strategy
* Identify, record and publicise internally market intelligence (including competitor activity) in support of tactical and strategic planning
* Attend and take an active part in meetings, training days, seminars, exhibitions etc. as required by the Global Transport
* Identify potential new products related to the specified key accounts and pro-actively communicate product development needs with the Global Transport Commercial Manager and Global Transport Product Manager.
* Effectively communicate customer and/or product complaints; competitor activity and local field intelligence relevant to the Key Accounts.
* Develop and implement clear sales territory objectives and monitor these effectively, including field accompaniment and regular reviews with the sales team, to ensure the country plans are being delivered.
* Devising individual development plans with market partners to support continuous improvement

 

Requirements:

* Higher level education, preferably in technical/ engineering profile
* Minimum 5-8years’ experience in sales of technical solutions to transport/automotive industries, preferably in flooring, textiles or similar
* Proven experience in a direct, front-line sales role within the following industries in OEM environment: bus/coach/rail/metro etc.
* Advanced knowledge of the market from an account, competition, product and standards  perspective
* Good presentation, communication, organizational and project management skills
* Self-starter, take responsibility  for own planning and actions with the ability to work on his/her own initiative - but also as part of an international team
* Experience of working with different cultures: enjoy working in an international environment
* Strong overall business acumen with ability to open doors and nurture strong, lasting account relationships
* Fluent spoken and written English is a must
* Good IT skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
* Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
